About this artwork
The Mind, a kinetic object by Anando Arnold. The object represents the mind. The hair is an outwardly turned brain, it is provided with LEDs, the blinking of which indicates the activity of the neurons and synapses. Thoughts arise, represented by styrofoam balls that are whirled up by a hair dryer in an acrylic tube. The language is represented by a display in the mouth showing combinations of numbers and letters.
