This work is part of the Waves series, a visual research on movement and energy through the motion of the sea waves.
The project stems from the idea of translating an ever-changing dimension into visual form, using the language of waves. Like the sea, energy is never still: it transforms, concentrates, dissolves.
Rather than freezing the wave in a static moment, the work captures its movement. Created through long exposures and deliberate camera… movements, the image is created directly during the shooting. Working in close contact with the sea, the photographic act becomes an integral part of the process, a direct interaction between body, environment, and perception.
The result is not a representation of the landscape, but the translation of movement into form: a suspended balance between reality and abstraction.
Each work is unique, shaped by the unpredictability of natural forces and the artist's gesture.
Andrea Felice uses photography as his primary medium, drawing on a background developed through visual research, ongoing training, and a thorough personal practice. His technique favors contemporary abstraction, featuring movement and plays of light that dissolve all figurative references, creating fine art prints that transcend mere representation. In his work, he transforms reality into evocative and suspended images, capable of arousing profound emotions and undefined states of mind, inviting the viewer to explore their own inner dimension.
