About this artwork
Warm tones, patterns and jute, roughcast, reminding us of happy summer days. The transparency of the patterns and their interweaving are a tribute to light and conviviality. The eggshell was chosen for the variety of its grain and pigments, combining very well with the jute canvas. The lines are clean and designer, the composition minimalist because only the subject matters. Taking up all the space on the canvas, the intention is there, very present:… summer! Simplicity and elegance for the good times of conviviality and freshness to come that the beginnings of spring promise us.
A multi-disciplinary artist, Anne is curious by nature. She explores various artistic techniques ranging from working with rakes, ink, window scrapers, paint dripping and mounting relief paintings in the form of sculptures, to plaster and cement. She works on canvas or paper, combining Posca with acrylic paint, which she applies in transparent washes, allowing the lines of the felt pen to show through. She has exhibited at the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais in Paris, in various contemporary art fairs but also in Spain, in the Netherlands and at the Tsukuba Museum of Art in Tokyo.
