About this artwork
This scene is from the Robert Altman movie MASH (1970). During the Korean War in the fall of 1951, a nurse was newly promoted to camp chief at the 4077th MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), a United States Army field hospital. The painting shows his arrival at the camp in a Bell 47 helicopter. His nickname comes from remarks made during a sexual relationship "Franck, kiss my lips on fire!" and disseminated without his consent throughout the camp.… They earned him the nickname "Hot lips".
« What's the point of trying to reinvent images when those around us are so beautiful, and all we have to do is reproduce them as faithfully as possible. »
Arnaud Feuga is an artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. With a background as a marine biology researcher, naturally, his favorite themes relate to the sea. However, Feuga also creates distinctive and realistic figurative compositions which include portraits and cinema-inspired pieces. He paints exclusively using oils on canvas.
