His layered compositions transform landscapes into atmospheric, dreamlike images, where reality subtly dissolves into abstraction. Inspired by the shifting light and textures of the Wadden Sea, his work evokes a sense of stillness and quiet reflection.
Working intuitively with digital manipulation, Langhout builds each piece through multiple photographic layers, creating depth and ambiguity. Subtle gold accents appear throughout his work, suggesting the fragility and fleeting nature of time.
