About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the essence of raw emotions and impulsiveness. Using acrylic, oil pastel and ink, I composed an abstract scene where the contrasts of bright colors against more subdued tones evoke a passionate struggle between order and chaos. Each brushstroke embodies a cry from the heart, a desire for freedom. This painting adds a touch of dynamism and emotional depth to any space, inviting contemplation and introspection.
Badia Marteau uses a diversity of mediums, from acrylic to pastel, favoring female portraits and refined abstraction. His evolving technique combines charcoal, ink, and collages to reveal light and expressiveness of eyes. His works, often untitled, invite intimate contemplation, arousing emotions and personal reflections in the viewer.
