About this artwork
The colors of the French flag characterize this abstract work.
The work Jehanne is in fact dedicated to the Maid of Orleans, Joan of Arc, a symbol of faith, courage and patriotism, but also an example of a woman capable of challenging the rules of society to pursue the ideals in which she believes.
The title Jehanne refers to Jehanne Darc, the name of Joan of Arc in Middle French, the language spoken at the time she lived. A corresponding search… and verification of etymological, literary and historical sources is part of my artistic research.
The painting is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
It does not necessarily require a frame, because the edges are thick and painted white.
« It is important to work with love and constancy, inspiration can come in the most unexpected moments. »
