About this artwork

I have taken a clear desicion : My paintings should be a carrier of hope. How does an artist handle the unpleasantness the world sometimes brings? Showing it is one possibility or making it even more unpleasant than it is. Instead, I decided to show beauty and hope.
Home is confidence, trust, hope and love. The expressive and colorful painting with lots of transparent layers is transmitting love and joy. What and where is home? Home is an inner feeling.… "home" is sprayed and handwritten on the painting.
My working process:
First, I let fluid acrylic color flow while rotating the canvas. Once the drying process ist complete, I add another layer of fluid color, and repeat this technique for a couple of days. This method allows me to achieve a unique and truly very special level of transparency and intensity. On top of these layers, I add gestural writing, and create color-shaping effects with expressive brush strokes and transparent spray paint.
