I don't like to mix colors. I like to use them as they come out of the tube and in fact I have no palette. I am quite an impressionist in that aspect, I let the eye make up the image, just as I have done in this painting.

Begoña Lafuente is a painter and illustrator based in the Netherlands whose works have been widely exhibited internationally, as well as in Spain. For her, art is a timeless conversation where not everything is said and "the essential is diluted." Lafuente describes her works as a game of combinations that combines materials, textures and colors, improvising new routes for the senses. In addition, she integrates movement and contrast in her compositions to cultivate visual and emotional tension.
