About this artwork
The image of the big city and its poetics of the everyday inspired the Urban ongoing series, and in particular this semi-abstract snapshot of a bright, brown twilight, where the avenue is the protagonist of the illuminated scene. The painting depicts a bustling city street at noon, with a bright yellow light illuminating the buildings and sidewalks. The scene is dynamically filled with sketched traffic of vehicles which are moving through the city,… suggesting a vibrant atmosphere of the urban setting. The painting captures the hustle and bustle of the city life, with the lights and busy streets creating an energetic and dynamic scene.
« Each time I left the idea of painting, my life was in disarray, and each time I returned, things found order and light, so from my experience, art is my home. »
