About this artwork
This picture is painted with lacquer on wood, size: 80X90cm, 1.2cm thick. Painting is lacquer with pigment, son (4 kinds of red color made from natural stone and soil), gold, silver, and eggshell. Using the multi-layer lacquer technique, each layer is lined with silver to create metallic luster for the colors.
The distance here is not in meters. It is an indescribable feeling of nostalgia! A girl is living happily with her lover. One day, they have… to separate. The man went on a mission! Girl at home, lonely and nostalgic. Day after day waiting, her lover returns!
