About this artwork
In creating this piece, I embraced a fusion of minimalism, pop art, and surrealism, focusing on the whimsical yet poignant scene of an overturned ice cream cone. The stark simplicity of the forms against the soft hues captures a fleeting moment of disappointment but also a playful visualization of life's small mishaps. It's a reminder of impermanence wrapped in a visually soothing aesthetic, perfect for invigorating any living space with both serenity…
and a touch of humor.

Bumpy Wilson (b. 1995) is a Chicago, based Contemporary Artist who creates highly personal paintings that assert his unique style somewhere between Pop Minimalism and Magical Surrealism. His oeuvre is subtly culled from the art world itself and most notably depicts cows, basketball hoops, and seemingly random objects. Through his art, he is able to evoke puns as art forms, providing a play on words for his ever-expanding discursive material.
