About this artwork
The freestanding sculpture is made of a type of aluminum mache. This thick aluminum coating was manually compressed to a high density and encloses a solid skeleton of metal and stone. Despite multiple coats of lacquer, ink, and acrylic, the surface remains open-pored, giving it an organic appearance.
You can display the sculpture both indoors and outdoors. The base is quite heavy, while… the stem and head are relatively light, ensuring the sculpture stands up very well. Should "Flowering Boa" fall, don't worry, it will survive such events unscathed.
The object weighs 7 kg and is signed and dated on the bottom.

« My rather unconventional technique arises from the intention to let the change of the material to the work flow freely. »
The free use of one's own resources is the fundamental creative disposition in Robausch's work.
His techniques and use of materials are also peculiar.
Standing outside the traditional art world, Robausch goes and thinks in an open and unsupported way.
Sculptures, wall objects and relief-like panel paintings are created entirely from within the individual.
Robausch also likes to rework his own works from earlier times, deforming and retuning them.
The translation of the mood of his physical works into digital, animated works sometimes seems strangely alien.
Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
The unpredictable immediacy seems to shine through these enigmatic, relief-like panel paintings.
