About this artwork
The work process is characterized by unconventional connection technology and material properties. The canvas texture arises from the signature "X" and the geometric arrangement of the metal fasteners. These canvas elements are glued with thin fiberboard and then riveted to a solid whole.
Robausch uses the same technique to produce wall sculptures as well as freestanding sculptures. Through the open joints arise unusual views and interesting shadow… throws that create a strong interaction with the environment.
All works of this series are signed on the back.
Through a circular, invisible U-rail on the back of the wall sculptures can be hung arbitrarily, replaced and strung together.
