About this artwork
Hand-formed aluminum parts covered with Indian ink are riveted into a cuboid, then - following the tension structure of the body - pressed in, beaten and further deformed. After this rather aggressive act, the work comes to a relaxed calm. Something that is otherwise hidden beneath the surface of the form becomes visible through this transformation.
Subsequent polishing creates bare aluminum structures and… surfaces. The sculpture then passes into its final existence. Thanks to the natural oxidation layer of the aluminum, this mood is permanently maintained. The wall sculpture weighs 2.0 kg. It is signed with the initials cR on the front and dated on the back. It can be hung both horizontally and vertically. The special fastening system enables easy installation on any wall.

« My rather unconventional technique arises from the intention to let the change of the material to the work flow freely. »
The free use of one's own resources is the fundamental creative disposition in Robausch's work.
His techniques and use of materials are also peculiar.
Standing outside the traditional art world, Robausch goes and thinks in an open and unsupported way.
Sculptures, wall objects and relief-like panel paintings are created entirely from within the individual.
Robausch also likes to rework his own works from earlier times, deforming and retuning them.
The translation of the mood of his physical works into digital, animated works sometimes seems strangely alien.
Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
The unpredictable immediacy seems to shine through these enigmatic, relief-like panel paintings.
