About this artwork
Acciaio liquido (Liquid Steel) is a work that plays with light and matter, where the metal becomes fluid, with a unique and vibrant texture, constantly shifting. The surface, crisscrossed by regular patterns and incisions, reflects the surrounding space like a living mirror, capable of transforming according to the angle of the gaze and the intensity of the light. The work explores the boundary between structure and fading, between matter and illusion,… evoking a metal that pulses with energy. A fragment with an almost architectural texture and a dynamism created by the light that shifts across the surface, becoming visual poetry. The work reflects the colors surrounding it, almost like a mirror. The sole color is steel, with a hint of metallic gold between the intersections that symbolize the raw material.
Claudia Amadesi blends multi-material techniques and a passion for nature in her textured, minimalist works. Her works are distinguished by their ability to play with light, transform matter, and use it as a tool to deconstruct and rework reality, transporting the viewer into a spiritual dimension. The boundaries between reality and reality blur, allowing each work to reveal the fruit of a visceral and interior impulse, the drive that characterizes her expressive artistic exploration through the "groove" technique. It is a tale of emotions and sensations, a journey into the depths of the soul. The material, in her hands, becomes dynamic, coming to life in space, creating plays of light and shadow that amplify the visual experience, an invitation to a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.
