About this artwork

This painting is about various shades of blue and violet. It refers to XXth century avant-garde paintings showing the color in its structure. I aimed to achieve an effect similar to the semi-precious stone amethyst. One of my main inspirations is the rock and its precious and semi-precious varieties.
