About this artwork
In this work, I'm interested in capturing a minimal gesture that, nevertheless, carries enormous emotional weight: the instant when the figure rises slightly toward the light, as if searching for a thought, a memory, or inner clarity. I work the portrait using very defined, almost sculpted, planes of color, so that each tone reveals a different skin temperature and, at the same time, its own emotional vibration.
The composition is deliberately… simple: a profile opening outwards, a muted green background that doesn't compete, but rather envelops. I'm drawn to that feeling of quiet intimacy, of contained impulse, born from such a subtle gesture. There's no dramatization; there's presence. A way of being in the world without fanfare.
