About this artwork
Natural stone used in artwork- Leylak marble
In this artwork I explore the triune nature of man according to
R.Steiner - spirit, soul and body. The spirit /represented by the "mist"
at the top of the painting is eternal, the 6 faces figuratively
represent the soul with its many incarnations, the marble body is the
fragile physical body, with a venous structure and an anatomically
living heart. In total, there are 7 heads / the marble one and… 6
"shadows" /, because 7 is the Divine number. The right hand is open
upwards - as prayer, humility, acceptance.
