About this artwork
I started drawing very early without acknowledging it. But in 2007 I began working on nudes from live models.
This ink drawing was created from my imagination without a live model.
Depicted as a double nude, man and woman intertwined. Modesty and the interplay of bodies emanate from the drawing. An evocation of pure lines. It is a
"Nude" of Asian inspiration.
AI 愛 (ai) means – to express deep love in Japanese.
The most commonly accepted word… to translate “love” in Japanese is 愛・あい・ai, pronounced 'ay'.
The word 愛 (feeling) refers to the feelings of one human towards another, but it is marked by a hierarchical order. It is the feeling of an individual possessing a higher rank. For example, the feeling of a mother towards her child, or of a man towards a woman.
