About this artwork
It was almost end of December and we were all waiting for the snow. Luckily one morning the village woke up under a tiny blanket of snow. And there was that rose shade in the air that is so typical for the snowy winter. What actually impressed Emilia at her morning walk was that lonely bush standing there at the top of a small hill and holding into its branches the rose atmosphere.
This original acrylic painting is made on a vinyl paper mounted… on a MDF board.

Emilia Milcheva is a prize-winning Bulgarian painter whose works have been featured in numerous exhibitions on a national level. Emilia's ceramic practice is grounded in the wabi-sabi Zen philosophy, embracing imperfection, impermanence, and the beauty of the unfinished. Working with clay as both material and a partner, she creates forms that are intentionally irregular, allowing intuition, gravity, and chance to shape each piece. The process values presence over precision and acceptance over control. Irregular silhouettes, raw surfaces, and subtle distortions are essential elements of her work - qualities that reflect the transient nature of existence.
