About this artwork
In creating this work on vellum, I sought to capture the energy and conflicting emotions of the frigid, yet bright days of winter.
The combination of acrylic and gouache allows me to explore the depth of the material, while my impressionist and abstract touches intertwine to form this mixture of warmth and coldness, almost hardness.
It's a dance of bright colours against dark tones, reflecting the brutal beauty of this season.
This painting will… bring dynamism and reflection into any living space, inviting one to contemplate the complexity of human emotions in the face of change.
