About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the intense energy of a powerful symbol, enveloped in a chaos of colors and symbols. Using acrylic, collage, graffiti, and spray paint, I created a vibrant contrast between order and disorder, between past and present. This piece exudes a rebellious and meaningful energy, perfect for those who love a space rich in emotion and visual history.
The work was created to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the fall… of the Berlin Wall. It's a historic representation of a barrier, first mental and then physical. A wall like a canvas, an obstacle to freedom.
Filippo Imbrighi comes from the world of graphic design and video editing, and brings this sensibility to his artistic work, primarily using collage on paper enhanced with acrylic sprays. His art draws inspiration from poster clippings found in Italy and around the world, composed into fragments that create visual stories without beginning or end, in a poetic and personal order. His works evoke intense and melancholic emotions, leaving the viewer free to interpret and journey through the icons and their experiences.
