About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the chaotic, pulsating energy of life itself, blending oil, plaster, and objects to create a vibrant texture. Movement emerges from the chaos, between abstraction and concreteness, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in an emotional journey and feel the visceral energy that will bring vitality and dynamism to any space. The work is on canvas board.
Franca Fabrizio is a complex and innovative artist. Her paintings combine rationality and fantasy, emotions and profound thoughts, dreams and desires. She will be exhibiting at the 61st VENICE BIENNALE 2026 in the Guatemala Pavilion. She expresses an imaginary world, parallel to everyday reality, where colors dance harmoniously on the canvas, creating shapes, figures, symbols, and letters to evoke emotions, play with the viewer, and convey messages about current issues. Her repertoire of techniques and styles is varied, as she loves to continually experiment. She has held numerous solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, receiving awards and recognition. She is featured in the 2024 ATLAS OF CONTEMPORARY ART presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and in the 2026 ATLAS OF CONTEMPORARY ART, which will be presented on June 15 at MOMA in New York. It is in CAM 58 and 59 and in the catalogues of the numerous group exhibitions in which he participated.
