About this artwork
The motif was conceived during a break in the studio. That's why it's called "Stay like that!" The model and I were deep in conversation when I discovered this moment—this intense, open, and concrete gaze—as a motif. So I sketched it immediately and later painted it in a longer session. Like many of my paintings, this one was also developed with several layers, so the year of its creation is only approximate. I painted it on the smooth side of a…
