This sculpture is part of a trio inspired not only by the composer’s appearance, but by the character of their music. Form, rhythm and structure are translated into a sculptural language of planes, tension and balance.
Each bust is reduced to a few essential lines and planes, capturing its character with precision and restraint.
A subtle detail on the reverse connects each work to its musical origin.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
A form defined by clarity,… balance and lightness. The composition is more fluid and composed, reflecting the precision and elegance of his music.
On the reverse, a quote often associated with Mozart — “The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between.” — is engraved, pointing to the space and sensitivity within his work.

Frieda Waanders is a Dutch sculptor working in natural stone and bronze, with a rich background shaped by masterclasses in Italy and mentorship from renowned sculptors. Since 2004, she has worked as an independent artist from her own studio and gallery, creating both autonomous work and commissioned sculptures.
Her work blends stylized figuration with abstraction, drawing inspiration from the human figure, nature, and music. Forms are reduced and structured into balanced lines and planes, creating a tension between movement and stillness.
Her sculptures invite a direct experience of form, rhythm, and inner balance.
