About this artwork
I created this work to express the tension between the end and hope, using materials such as oil, enamel, and real objects that hang as symbols of impact and reflection. My semi-abstract touch guides the viewer into an ambiguous emotion, made up of fragments of memory and a "game over" that is only the beginning of a new narrative. It will bring an intense and dynamic vibration to the spaces.
Using stucco previously applied to canvases, which I… then tore and glued together, creating reliefs and cracks. I made the pictorial creation contemporary by inserting intertwined string and wire into the lower part of the painting, thus introducing an anomalous element into a natural pictorial whole.

Fulvio Dot is an experienced painter and draftsman based in Italy whose work has been exhibited nationally, as well as in China, France, Canada and Spain. He describes his compositions as historical places “contaminated” with contemporary symbols and content. Dot’s striking, textural and almost three-dimensional pieces are created primarily with acrylics, oils and collage on canvas.
