About this artwork
Inspired by Hubble Telescope images of nebulas, in this painting I imagined clouds of gaseous dust from a nebula billowing against the darkness of deep space. My layered application of opaque paint and transparent glazes of bright blues, reds, yellows and white are contrasted by a blue so dark that it looks black, creating this dramatic energetic image. All of my gallery wrapped canvases have edges painted in a color taken from the artwork,
