About this artwork
This piece straddles the worlds of painting and weaving. I call works from this series Woven Paintings. To make it I adhered together pieces of former paintings and scraps of used canvas, then tore them into strips, woven them together, and then continued painting the composition atop the weaving.
The piece can hang freely from a rod, like a tapestry, or be mounted and framed, for a more formal presentation.
