About this artwork
Hoe klein kan je gaan?
Deze tekening ben ik gestart vlak nadat ik die van "Morrissey" of "Mozzer" had voltooid.
Opnieuw vond ik inspiratie in het alledaagse, fijne jeugdherinneringen en een concertticket om deze man voor het eerst (solo) te zien optreden.
Sommigen herkennen misschien de gitaarvirtuoos "Johnny Marr", de andere stuwende kracht achter de band "The Smiths" en daarna bandlid van oa "The Healers", "The The", ... Hij heeft eveneens… samengewerkt met niemand minder dan "Hans Zimmer" want ... "Nobody plays guitar the way Johnny does!"
Een scherpe potloodpunt was hier vanzelfsprekend, gezien de geringe grootte van het portret. De moeilijkheidsgraad ligt hier hoger zeker als je de expressie nog tot uiting wil doen komen.
Ik hoop echter dat ik erin geslaagd ben om zijn eigenheid en unieke expressie op papier over te brengen.
