About this artwork
This artwork is composed of a diptych and is part of my "Instant Print, a Pole Apart" series of instant photography prints. Each photograph is unique. The works come complete with an acid-free mat and frame.
Giulio Limongelli is a photographer and artisan printer with extensive experience in Bologna. He specializes in photography and silver gelatin printing, both from negatives and digital files using his innovative DIGINGRANDITORE®, as well as from negatives using traditional enlargers. His technique combines the traditional craftsmanship of the enlarger with modern digital technology, resulting in highly refined and precise craftsmanship. His works convey a profound attention to material and memory, engaging the viewer on an emotional journey through light and shadow.
Giulio taught photography at the Apulian Institute for Popular Culture and Professional Education in Bari in the 1980s. He moved to Bologna, where he has lived and worked since the mid-1990s. His work has been exhibited in solo shows in London, Rome, Milan, Florence, Padua, Novafeltria, and at the National Museum of Photography in Brescia.
