About this artwork
This piece marks a turning point, expanding the canvas into the three-dimensionality of the installation. Through geometry and physical light, I explore the paradox of our existence: the perception of being fragmented versus the truth of our essential unity.
The cuts that traverse the composition, inspired by the philosophy of kintsugi, are enhanced with gold leaf, lending value and beauty to the wound and the division. However, the work reveals… its true nature when activated: an internal lighting system that makes light emanate from the cracks, symbolizing the Source or the divine spark that unites us all equally, beyond any formal differences.
It is an invitation to ignite our own inner light and recognize the invisible web that connects us all as one body, as one humanity.

Gradel primarily uses acrylic on canvas, trained in fashion design and styling, and has over two decades of experience in graphic design. Although her pictorial work is entirely self-taught, her spiritual, abstract, and geometric style blends with sacred geometry, organic forms, and unconventional formats. Her themes, channeled through images emerging from meditation and contact with other planes, result in works that emanate calm, hope, and harmony, inviting introspection and a connection with the inner energy and transcendence of the soul.
