About this artwork
“Transcendence” is a deeply personal work, inspired by a spiritual awakening that marked a before and after in my life.
It was born after a period of crisis and searching, in which a series of seemingly casual encounters led me to discover a new perspective on existence.
The canvas represents the moment of transition when we leave the physical world. The lower, denser and more earthly part symbolizes the weight of the body left behind. From there,… the shapes and colors rise, ethereal, to a more subtle plane: the soul's journey to its true home.
With a palette that flows from earth to sky, it's a reminder that death isn't an end, but a transformation. A step toward another way of life, lighter, freer.

Gradel primarily uses acrylic on canvas, trained in fashion design and styling, and has over two decades of experience in graphic design. Although her pictorial work is entirely self-taught, her spiritual, abstract, and geometric style blends with sacred geometry, organic forms, and unconventional formats. Her themes, channeled through images emerging from meditation and contact with other planes, result in works that emanate calm, hope, and harmony, inviting introspection and a connection with the inner energy and transcendence of the soul.
