About this artwork
this was done in a special technique, without actually using brushes.
It's a moth, a night butterfly, a self-portrait of the soul.
I aim at capturing their moment of takeoff... you can really feel it's frantic movement through the paint...
It seems like the moth is escaping a poisonous bug, escaping danger...escaping the grasp of hands or of life.
So quickly, in a fragment of time, they spread their wings and go.
the bug seems as if someone… stepped on it...
or maybe it's a cat?
or a cat woman?
When something is gone, does it mean it disappears?
