About this artwork
I build the painting around the tension between expanding light and receding darkness, allowing that unstable balance to shape the entire composition. I approach color as a force rather than a description—bright yellow pressing forward, deep blue-green drawing back—so that energy continues to move across the surface. My brushwork remains fluid and directional, keeping the fields of color alive rather than fixed. What I seek is an atmosphere born…
from this unresolved tension: a world still in the process of forming, where light advances and darkness responds.
