About this artwork
This piece is my attempt to capture a more primal form of vitality—something unfolding in the soil, in fire, and deep within the body all at once. It isn’t about expressing emotion; it’s about allowing the colors to grow and collide on their own.
I began by grounding the painting in earthy tones to give it weight, then let the black lines move like roots—digging inward and reaching outward. The dense center is the area I intentionally left uncontrolled,… allowing it to tangle and evolve on its own. I introduced the white at the end to lift the rhythm and give the whole piece a sense of illumination from within.
