About this artwork
I painted this portrait with pastels on the glued pages of the book "Omnibus" by Jan Mensah.
I met Frederik at the premiere of the documentary about me "De Zwarte Icoon 2022".
Frederik's daughter Genevieve starred in the film "Harry Potter". Frederik plays Scrooge in a one-man show in Hoorn. Before the show, he handed out posters with this portrait to the audience and talked about me.
Together with Frederik de Groot, I starred in the film by the… famous film director Jan Rutger Achterberg "Scrooge and the Fourth Spirit". This portrait was shown in the film.
A TV program was filmed about it, which is on YouTube.
The portrait "Scrooge" is a competitor for the Dutch Portrait Prize. Also a portrait contestant "Faces of North Holland".
The portrait was exhibited in TUNGUST STUDIO at the exhibition Kunstroute Waterland 2024 in Broek in Waterland and at my solo exhibition in Monnickendam in the Netherlands.
