About this artwork
Peacocks are often associated with symbolism of immortality, beauty, royalty, and even pride, depending on the cultural context. In ancient times, the belief that peacock flesh didn't decay after death led to its association with immortality and resurrection. Their vibrant, eye-like patterned feathers also represented the "all-seeing eye" of God in some interpretations.
