GENESIS is a unique marble sculpture. It is a work that makes me think about the beginnings of World, the seed that generates life. We have often thought or continue to think that the egg was the beginning but I believe that it was from the plant world, not the animal world. I usually make one piece at a time from there that is practically unique since they are made by hand and are all different. A sculpture to touch, caress, observe... A small leather… support is also attached in case the idea is to put the piece on a piece of furniture.
« My works stand alone, they don't require a great speech, only harmony, peace, and energy. »
Jean-Baptiste Van den Heede is a Belgian sculptor and designer based in Spain whose pieces have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including in Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. With experience in design, as well as in art in general, sculpture, and calligraphy, his creative practice is inspired by the symbols of prehistory and its people. He collaborates with major art galleries and already has more than 30 works in various museums, private galleries, and collections.
