Both on and off the canvas, I'm all about movement, momentum, and zest for life. Full of bold and Mediterranean colors, my expressionist works transmit the vitality of a moment that extends to be shared by the viewer. They are accessible but not easy, fascinating but enjoyable.

Using oil paint, I have explored expressiveness and figurative form to capture the essence of ephemeral… moments and intense emotions. Jenifer Carey is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and the United Kingdom. Music, especially jazz, is one of the main recurring themes in her art. Carey employs engraving and sculptural techniques for the faces of her subjects, whose hands and movements are always expressive. In addition, she portrays her observations and life experiences in order to "capture a moment". She creates using oils on canvas.
