About this artwork
This sculpture is part of a series of sportsmen which was inspired by the Olympic year 2024. In crafting this sculpture, I channeled the thrilling essence of ambition and resilience. This cast iron sculptural depiction of a pole vaulter in mid-action, seamlessly blends dynamism with abstract simplicity, creating a silhouette that captures the height of athletic endeavor. Each curve and angle is designed to evoke a sense of motion and aspiration,…
making it a powerful statement piece that electrifies the space it inhabits with an air of timeless perseverance.

Jenifer Carey is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and the United Kingdom. Music, especially jazz, is one of the main recurring themes in her art. Carey employs engraving and sculptural techniques for the faces of her subjects, whose hands and movements are always expressive. In addition, she portrays her observations and life experiences in order to "capture a moment". She creates using oils on canvas.
