About this artwork
In this sculpture, we notice the intensity of the gaze which transcends the stone, a presence which silently calls out to the viewer. Each feature is marked by the raw emotion of the material, modeling an intimate connection with the observer.
His face straight ahead but his gaze to the side, what is he doing, what does he want?
It seems to be telling us, be careful, I'm watching you. But why ?
What is he wary of?
In fact it is the observer who… is wrong, he only observes what surrounds him, without any a priori.
This sculpture brings to the space an energy of deep contemplation and an invitation to reflection.
