In this work, I wanted to capture the strength and mystique of a woman through a rich mix of materials—oil, tempera, and especially gilding, real gold leaf that comes from a village in Vietnam. These leaves are hammered by hand in an ancestral manner. The gold used in this way illuminates and sublimates her gaze. Each symbolic stroke is a tribute to inner beauty and silent power, ready to warm and enrich the space where it will be displayed. It is… a burst of gold and soul, vibrant with emotion.
