"Platinum Afternoon" was inspired by the quiet beauty of birch trees — resilient, elegant,… and ever-watching. I’ve always been drawn to their pale bark and the soft, flickering light that plays through their leaves. In this piece, I wanted to capture that stillness — the sense of being held by nature in a quiet moment of reflection.
The process was grounding and intuitive, with each tree painted in layers of texture to evoke depth and life. This work is a meditation on presence — a visual reminder to slow down and find peace in simplicity.
