About this artwork
This piece is meant to put our hearts in the center. The artist wanted to acknowledge the beauty of our hearts and how leading a life with heart is much more meaningful than all the "noise" around us. The neutral colors and shaded villages in the background are meant to keep the heart(s) grounded.

« The universe gifted me a French edge, a Californian dream and some hot boiling Afghan blood and I channel it through my art. »
Manaz Raiszadeh is an artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States. Referring to herself as an "intuitionist abstract painter", the genesis of her artistic inspiration comes from her parent's tale and her Afghani cultural background. Raiszadeh often depicts houses and villages in her compositions, as she believes that "we can all relate to the place where we are from". She creates using acrylics, pastels, and collage on canvas or wood.
