The head is crowned with stars, suggesting its pervasiveness throughout the natural order of the universe, a subtle and pervasive presence that transcends space. Around his neck, a cross extends his dominion to the artificial world, the one constructed by man, indicating that temptation knows no boundaries: neither natural nor cultural.
