About this artwork
This work depicts a man struck by an arrow that should have pierced the apple he's holding. The mistake, or perhaps the choice, becomes the narrative fulcrum of the scene. The work is open to multiple interpretations: it can be interpreted as a representation of misplaced trust, entrusted to the wrong hands, or as the lucid moment of realization of a flawed decision. At the same time, it also suggests a more disturbing hypothesis: that of a conscious…
act, in which the one who has received trust deliberately chooses to betray it. The work thus becomes a reflection on the nature of trust, exploring its ambiguities, fragilities, and inevitable contradictions.
