About this artwork
If the newly arrived spring had a face, this would be it. The Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli gave shape to a magical event of nature that arrives cyclically. It constitutes an explosion and a celebration of creation. In his famous painting in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, entitled "The Allegory of Spring." This work is a passionate fusion of acrylic and oil, where I encapsulate the essence of expressionism and figurative art. Through…
the serene and enigmatic gaze of the central character, surrounded by natural flourishes and soft tones, I seek to explore the interconnection between humanity and the natural world. This painting invites reflection and adds an emotional and revitalizing presence to any space.

« "I am a restless artist who thrives on surprise. I delve into the subconscious, unlocking the mysteries of inspiration. I don't paint the work, the work paints me." »
Marcos Carrasco is a Spanish painter who has exhibited in the United States, China, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. His classically inspired contemporary pieces delve into the geography of the human form and how the “skin landscape” transcends the physical and evolves into creation. Reconciling abstract creations and the figurative, Carrasco begins with the first layer in acrylics then adds oils. Next, he digitizes the piece, which is printed onto various materials such as wood and aluminium.
