About this artwork
In these works I combine pencil, charcoal and oil pastel to create a dynamic fusion of abstract and figurative representation. The upper composition explores lightness and ease, symbolized by the light and floating forms. In the lower image I depict a deeper, more thoughtful mood, underlined by the stronger, darker lines and the more intense play of color. Both images speak to the human experience - the fleeting, the deep - and invite the viewer…
