About this artwork
This painting is currently at an exhibition. "Rendez-Vous" was inspired by the beauty of Nymans National Trust Garden, where I’ve spent many years as Artist in Residence. I wanted to capture that magical play of light as it filters through the leaves, turning an everyday garden path into something dreamlike.
Sunlight shimmers across a rustic wooden gate, surrounded by lush foliage and soft shadows. Layers of vibrant acrylics blend warmth and depth… — from cool purples in the shade to glowing golds and greens in the light.
The painting continues around the sides for a contemporary finish and is ready to hang. “Rendez-Vous” brings a sense of peace, colour, and natural beauty to any space.
« In my landscapes and gardens, I find the soul in them and a piece of myself. In my figurative works, I look for the garden and landscapes of their souls. »
